CAHF CEO Participates in Calgary’s Housing Partnerships Conference

CAHF CEO Mike Meldrum participates in City of Calgary’s sold out Calgary’s Housing Partnerships Conference

The conference, held in observance of National Housing Day, exists to support dialogue and collaboration to address Calgary’s affordable housing crisis. The theme is this year’s conference is Housing Partnerships: Working Together to Address Calgary’s Housing Crisis.

Mike will participate in a breakout session called Housing Policies and Partnerships that Work. The session will explore best practices in housing policies and explore how partnerships can strengthen the delivery of housing supply and services

Local partnership is the foundation of CAHF’s work. CAHF is a Calgary-founded and Calgary-based foundation that exists to help affordable housing organizations raise the required capital for below-market housing. CAHF was developed out of the former RESOLVE campaign, when leaders from five agencies realized that there was a significant and ongoing need to seek financial support for affordable housing. With CAHF focusing on raising philanthropic capital for affordable housing projects, housing providers can then focus on what they do best -- build and operate affordable housing.

CAHF is working with local housing providers, local donors, and local champions to accelerate the affordable housing options available for Calgarians.

We thank the City of Calgary for their leadership in addressing this important issue, and we look forward to the discussions and outcomes of the day.
